Purpose
In 1994, Lori and Paul Hogan founded Home Instead Senior Care®, an international network of independently owned and operated franchises that provide non-medical home care for seniors. The Hogans established The Home Instead Senior Care Foundation in 2003 as a means to further enhance the health, safety, support services and lives of older adults and go
"above and beyond" the Home Instead Senior Care mission.
This private foundation funds non-profit organizations that are actively changing the lives of seniors and their communities everyday. Areas of grant-making interest include the following: age-related research and development; scholarships; advocacy for the health and well-being of older adults; and programs that promote community inclusion for seniors, especially those facing the problem of isolation.
Leadership Path
The Foundation's mission is "to improve the quality of life for seniors." Its Board of Directors and Executive Members, chosen for their genuine commitment to seniors, establish and guide The Foundation’s priorities; application and review processes; giving methods; fund-raising structure; and ethical standards. Other Board responsibilities include long-range planning and organizational structure.
